After watching his side suffer a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool at Anfield, Cardiff City manager, Malky Mackay, has reiterated that he will not be resigning from his position, despite pressure from the club's owner, Vincent Tan:

"I reiterate 100% that I absolutely will not be resigning from this football club."

"I am proud and a passionate man to lead this football club and lead this team, and have done for two and a half years. MY staff, my players, I certainly could not look at myself if I was to resign on those people."

Mackay also praised the fans, who showed their support for their manager throughout the game:

"You seen today how much the fans are backing their team, and how much they should be enjoying this Premier League season."

"I'm so proud that I represent them [the fans], so proud that my staff and my group of players represent thme [the fans], because what they represent is the whole of the Cardiff city."

When asked if he was aware of why Vincent Tan wants him to resign, Mackay replied:

"It's something you'll have to ask someone else."

"I'm someone that wants to work hard with my group of players everyday, we have done for two and a half years and that will not change."

"The players and fans are all pushing in the one direction."

I won't be walking away. I'm proud to be the manager of Cardiff City."
