It's the been coming, Diego Costa has finally completed his eagerly awaited move to Chelsea, from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid. A fee - believed to be the strikers release clause - of £32m was accepted by Atletico earlier this window.

After under-going a medical and completing personal terms a few weeks ago, Diego Costa arrived in London today to finalise his move to Chelsea. Costa has spent the last few weeks on holiday, following Spain's unexpected early elimination from the World Cup.

The 25-year-old was in fine form last season, firing Atletico Madrid to the league title with 28 league goals, and notching 35 goals in all competitions. Something Jose Mourinho will be hoping he can bring to the Premier League next season.

After signing a five-year contract with the London club, Costa becomes the second big name to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer, with ex-Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas also arriving for a large fee.

News of Costa's signing today, comes on the back of reports that Demba Ba is set to leave the club for Besiktas, for around £8m.
