Manchester United have drawn Sky Bet Championship side Derby County in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup.

The 11-time winners of one of the biggest domestic cups in football beat Sheffield United by the skin of their teeth thanks to a very late Wayne Rooney penalty last Saturday.

However, Rooney's penalty means they will play Derby, whom they have faced on 103 occasions, as they look to win the Cup for the first time since 2004 against Millwall.

United draw Derby away in the Cup

The Red Devils actually last played Derby in the FA Cup, back in 2009. Nani,  Darren Gibson, Cristiano Ronaldo and Danny Welbeck scored in a 4-1 thrashing at Pride Park. No players from that victorious side remain at the club, except Ryan Giggs, now on the coaching staff at Old Trafford.

This tie will be played away from home again for United at the iPro Stadium between January 29 and January 31.

United have not won FA Cup since 2004, were beaten by Arsenal last year

United reached the FA Cup quarter-final last year but were defeated by eventual winners Arsenal. Former-United striker Welbeck scored at Old Trafford against his old club and United's elusive search to lift the cup continued. They had won it more than any club but Arsenal's victory last year, which VAVEL UK were present at, shunted them down the pecking order.

Louis van Gaal's side are in turmoil at the moment, despite two consecutive wins. Performances have continued to be drab and many are calling for him to be sacked, although that remains unlikely.

A victory in the FA Cup could ease the pressure on van Gaal, who is yet to deliver silverware at United since his arrival in July 2014.
