Jose Mourinho has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement to become Manchester United manager at the end of the season, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais.

Mourinho has constantly been linked with the United job

Mourinho has been out a job since he was sacked as Chelsea manager back in December and since then he has constantly been linked to taking over as United manager from Louis van Gaal in this summer.

Van Gaal has gone through very difficult periods so far this season but still has time to turn it around before the summer. It has been reported for some time that Mourinho has always wanted to be the United manager and now, according to reports, it is very close to happening.

El Pais have been reportedly told this information by Jorge Mendes's company, Gestifute. They proclaim Mourinho signed this agreement last month but United still have the right to change their minds. This means that if United chief executive, Ed Woodward, wants to change his mind between now and June it will cost the club quite a bit of money.

Mourinho due £15million if United don't make him manager, say El Pais

El Pais even went into the financial details that United will have to pay if they do not stick to their agreement, saying Mourinho is due up to £15 million if they change their mind.
