Premier League side Manchester United have confirmed their 25-man squad for their upcoming tour of China.
Traveling to the Far East
There are some significant additions to the tour, with new signings Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly making the trip. They will also be joined by a number of players who are returning from Euro 2016-enforced extended holidays, with Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford, Chris Smalling, Paddy McNair and David De Gea all on the plane.
Youngsters Will Keane and Andreas Pereira have earned a place with their goals at the DW Stadium, with Luke Shaw also joining as he continues on his road to recovery.
Relishing the tour
It could prove to be a big season for Rashford, after bursting onto the scene in the second half of last season, and the youngster is looking forward to his first tour with the senior squad.
He told United's official website that"it means a lot to be going" as it is an "opportunity to show the manager what you've got and you have to take the opportunity when it comes" and will be a "massive experience especially with the players that could be going as well. I’ve got a lot I can learn from them."
Rashford concluded that "it’s crazy to see their support" but admitted that the "conditions can be difficult to play in as we witnessed in the tournament we were in back then but we got through it and it was a really good experience."
