Southampton's visit to Stoke City on the 12th March has sold out in the space of a couple of weeks as the club look to end the season strongly, particularly away from home, where their form of late has been exceptional.
Details of visit
The Saints will travel to Stoke to play the side currently in the bottom half of the table, and struggling a little of late, on the 12th March and the kick-off is set for 3:00pm.
The TV coverage for that weekend has already been confirmed so there is no chance of this game getting changed due to that.
Also this weekend is the return of the FA Cup and both sides have already been eliminated from the competition by the same side, Crystal Palace.
Stoke have had a good recent run over the Saints winning two of the last three matches which the two have played. This included earlier in the season when Stoke won a tight game 1-0 at St Mary's thanks to a tidy Bojan strike.
Saints' last visit to the Britannia came last April when the Potters picked up a 2-1 win after coming from behind as Morgan Schneiderlin gave the visitors a lead.
Southampton's last win against Stoke came in the Capital One Cup last season, as they won 3-2 at the Britannia thanks to a late Graziano Pelle strike.
Southampton supporters have been given an allocation of just 1,589 for the trip up north, which isn't huge considering the ground holds 28,000.
Stoke isn't always considered as the finest to watch football, as you can often have high winds which make a difference to how things go. However, the Potters play a much more easy on the eye brand of football than they used to, and it should shape up to be a good game.
The win certainly effected things in November 2014, when goalkeeper Asmir Begovic scored from his own goal-line, past Artur Boruc, to give Stoke the lead.
