West Brom striker Saido Berahino has caught the eye of Stoke City manager Mark Hughes as he looks to add another striker to his side.

The forward has had a frustrating start to the season and a move way from the Midlands club is looking more and more likely as Tony Pulis met with the Midlands club officials on Friday to discuss transfer plans.

Stoke City have scored 21 goals from 20 appearances this season but this statistic will be one that manager Mark Hughes will be looking to improve as his attractive style of football is settling in. Berahino could be the answer to this problem and with funds limited for Pulis the move may benefit both parties.

Berahino has scored just three times in 15 appearances for the baggies this season a stark contrast to the 14 goals he registered last term resulting in interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur Transfer Collapse

The striker was left irritated when a £22 million move to Tottenham Hotspur fell through in the summer sparkling speculation of a fall out with the club. A post sent from the player's Twitter account after the move collapsed led to many West Brom fans questioning the loyalty and desire of the seemingly wantaway striker.

"Sad how I cant say exactly how the club has treated me but I can officially say I will never play Jeremy Peace"

Berahino tweeted publicly claiming he would never play under Baggies Chairman Jeremy Peace, the forward was playing fantastic football at the time leaving the club desperate to hold on the Englishman.

Tottenham look to have reduced their interest now as Harry Kane is comfortably leading the London club towards a top four challenge but Stoke may provide the best option for a young forward looking to stake a last-minute claim for this summer's European Championship with England
