It is reported that Sunderland AFC manager Sam Allardyce is already scouting three potential targets to bring to the Stadium of Light in the Summer transfer window.
Unearth a gem
Allardyce's scouting expertise have already come into good use during the January transfer window with the relatively unknown Wahbi Kari and Laminae One already establishing themselves in the top-flight and becoming fan favourites on Wearside.
Allardyce's immediate priority will be keeping the Black Cats in the Premier League with the club currently just a point from safety.
This hasn't stopped him looking forward to next summer with his scouts scouring Europe for the next hot talents on the continent.
Looking to France
It seems that Allardyce has his sights on Ligue 1 once again with club scouts reportedly watching Bordeaux midfielder Clement Chantome.
The former teammate of Khazri contract runs out in the summer which has put a number of clubs on high alert with a reported number of nine clubs watching the 28-year-old in Bordeaux's 0-0 draw with Nice.
Chantome isn't the only European player that Sunderland have had their eye on with it been revealed they have also been looking at Gent striker Laurent Depoitre.
Depoitre is also out of contract this summer after rejecting a new contract with the Belgian club with Sunderland reportedly been one of eight Premier League clubs to watch the 27-year-old take on Wolfsburg in the Champions League last week.
Closer to home
Sunderland's other potential signing is a bit closer with Allardyce reportedly interested in bringing Blackburn Rovers defender Shane Duffy to Wearside.
It was reported by The Sun that the 24-year-old is on Allardyce's summer wish list and would be available for around £5million with just 12 months left on his current deal at Ewood Park come the end of the season.
Sunderland AFC will take on West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday, February 27 with kick-off at 12:45pm BST.
