The winger is set to travel to London in the next couple of days to complete a medical and is expected to sign a five-year deal with the North London club.

The 21-year-old only moved to the Stade Velodrome last summer and has been attracting interest from clubs such as Hamburg, Bournemouth and Sevilla but Spurs have moved the quickest to sign a player that they have scouted over the past few weeks.

Nkoudou began his career at Paris Saint-Germain before joining Nantes in 2013. The winger was born in Versailles and he will be hoping to make an impact at Spurs after impressing at Marseille.

Nkoudou impressed Spurs scouts and is set to add depth to the squad

Nkoudou scored 10 goals in all competitions last season for the French club showing that he has an eye for goal and it is suggested that a personal phone call from manager Mauricio Pochettino convinced him to join Spurs.

The winger is being brought in to give healthy competition to the other wingers in the squad, which is what a good team needs if they are going to win trophies and it will also help to have a bigger squad for the Champions League next season.

Spurs are looking to do even better than what they achieved last season and are showing their intent to improve the attacking side of their squad and they will be hoping that Nkoudou can settle in quickly in England.
