MEXICO CITY, Federal District, Mexico. Club America knew they would have to replace 'Piojo' Herrera once he was named the permanent manager of the Mexico national team. Today, they unveiled Antonio 'Turco' Mohamed as his replacement. Mohamed last managed Club Atletico Huracan in Argentina's Primera B division, and previously led Club Tijuana into Liga MX in 2011, and to the Apertura 2012 championship and the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals.

Mohamed gave an indication at his initial press conference that most of the team would remain intact. He added that there could be one or two signings--one of those turning out to be Xolos defender and Paraguay international Pablo Aguilar. Aguilar made 40 appearances for Turco Mohamed during his time at Club Tijuana and scored 8 goals under his look at Xolos (and 59 appearances and 9 goals in total in his Tijuana career). So given Aguilar's familiarity with Turco Mohamed, it seems that the Argentine manager is already making his mark on Club America just a day after being revealed as the new manager.

Among those likely to move away from Club America are forwards Narciso Mina (who was seldomly used by the club anyway), forward Christian 'El Hobbit' Bermudez, and defender Adrian Aldrete,

Until Las Aguilas complete their transfers, it is unclear how exactly they may line up. But early indications suggest that he has said that he will not go away from Piojo Herrera's "line of five" in the back.
