Schalke 04's Kevin-Prince Boateng has been suspended from the Ghana squad following misconduct a long with Sulley Muntari. The Ghanaian FA has said that Boateng aimed "vulger verbal insults" at the team's coach, James Appiah, during a training session.

Boateng has confirmed he has been sent home but has denied the charge, he told German magazine Sport-Bild: "Sulley Muntari and I were just joking around, and the coach stopped the session and sent us back to the changing room.

"Afterwards I went to him and asked what he had against me and he started yelling. He insulted me. There were words like: '**** off'. No-one should think I insulted the coach."

In other news, SC Freiburg have completed the signing of Fulham's Sascha Reither. The 31-year old defender had started his career at Freiburg in 2002 before playing for Köln and Wolfsburg where he won the Bundesliga title in 2009. According to 'kicker,' Reither's contract will be until 2016 although the German club are yet to release any official fee's.

"It's no secret that we are not the only club in the Bundesliga which has sought Sascha. Therefore all the more pleased that it worked out," Freiburg's sporting director Jochen Saier told RP . Reither played a total 66 games in the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Niclas Füllkrug has signed a three-year contract with FC Nürnberg. The Bavarian club were relegated from the Bundesliga and the striker will join them from Werder Bremen, although the 21-year old was on loan at 2. Bundesliga club Greuther Fürth last season.

Nürnberg's sporting director Martin Bader told kicker: "Niclas is a young, viable player who brings a lot and wants to learn a lot. With his commitment we increase the competition in the offensive."

German media have also reported that Luis Gustavo can leave Wolfsburg for €35 million. Klaus Allofs has rubbished these reports, he told BILD: "There is no indication that Luis will leave." The midfielder is currently with the Brazil national team having featured in every group game so far. Gustavo joined from Bayern Munich just a year ago and has made 29 appearances.

The Bundesliga fixtures were also released on Tuesday.
