Two sides that have struggled to pick up wins lately met this Sunday and surprisingly it was the side at the bottom that turned up to pick up a impressive victory to lift themselves off the bottom. 1860 München did the double over Bochum last season and their on course to do the same this season.

The first half was a disappointing 45 minutes as neither side created many chances. The first good chance arrived when Andreas Luthe suffered some early embarrassment, the keeper messed up with a back pass and gave 1860 a corner, from that Guillermo Vallori managed to head, however he could only direct it wide. Simon Terodde tried giving his side the lead after Marius Wolf's misplaced pass gave him possession, the league's top scorer tried catching Stefan Ortega Moreno off his line with a shot from distance, however the keeper was able to get back and catch.

A long throw was flicked on to Rubin Okotie and after his chest control Malcom Cacutalua managed to recover and knock the ball out of play, from the corner Vallori's header forced Luthe into making a great save by flicking it over the bar. Bochum had a chance when Michael Gregoritsch was one on one with Ortega Moreno, the 1860 keeper came out well to make a good stop.

Early in the second half the away side had a fantastic chance to take the lead, the ball was slipped through to Okotie and the striker took a touch past a defender before trying to curl his effort round Luthe, the Bochum number one matched the effort with a good save down to his left. The rebound did fall to Valdet Rama, although he was offside. Moments later Okotie had another chance, Daniel Adlung whipped in a great cross from the left, however this time Okotie's touch let him down and the chance was gone.

Adlung continued to cause problems for the home side, this time it was his delivery from a corner, Okotie managed to get the better of his marker and his header guided away from danger thanks to the thigh of Tobias Weis at the back post. Soon after Adlung managed to find space and his effort from range almost paid off, the powerful effort whistled just past the post.

Die Löwen continued to stay on top of their hosts and they took a deserved lead when another fantastic delivery from Adlung saw his freekick get the header it needed as Okotie got behind his marker and flicked it past Luthe.

Bochum had more intensity going forward after conceding and they came close when Anthony Losilla spun round a defender before going on a great run into the 1860 box, unfortunately for the home side his shot flew over.

The away side then went on to double their lead, once again it was the link up that was causing problems earlier in the half and for the first goal. Adlung whipped in another great freekick and Okotie leapt up to head across goal and into the bottom corner for his eighth league goal of the season.

Losilla had a chance to score when the ball was headed away and on the edge of the area he produced a well hit scissor kick, which unfortunately went straight at Ortega Moreno.

The travelling support were loving every moment of this game and they were celebrating a third when Luthe gave the ball straight to Adlung, he gratefully took the gift and smashed it past the keeper. It was a great way to cap off a fantastic performance.

1860's brilliant second half display gives them a great win and ends their rot to move off the bottom and up to 14th place. Bochum on the other hand their rot continues, after their brilliant start to the season they've suffered a huge dip in form and now sit in 10th place. Bochum haven't won since the 20th of September when they defeated FSV Frankfurt 5-1, since then they suffered three draws and four defeats, one of those was in the cup against 3.Liga side Dynamo Dresden. Disappointing performance from the hosts as they struggled to create chances and deal with the threat of Okotie and Adlung.
