Schalke's teen-talent Donis Avdijaj could be on his way to 2.Bundesliga side SV Sandhausen to gain match experience.

The Albanian-German, who has reportedly not chosen to play for country of his birth, has been a notorious goal-scorer throughout his time in Schalke's youth ranks, netting 76 goals in 77 games at under-17 and under-19 level. He's also provided a further 19 assists, meaning that there has been plenty of interest surrounding his signature.

Avdijaj has a buy-out clause of over €49.5million, with his current deal running until 2019. Sandhausen, who are currently struggling against relegation in the 2.Bundesliga, are the latest side to be rumoured to have interest in taking him on loan.

Sandhausen have expressed interest in adding more firepower to their misfiring front-line and a loan move for Avdijaj would suit both parties. "It has become common knowledge that we give young people a chance," said director Otmar Schork.

The Baden-Württemberg based side are sitting 14th in the 2.Bundesliga, just three points above the relegation play-off place. The kick-off their Rückrunde against fellow strugglers St. Pauli on February 7th.
