Viktoria Köln have signed Borussia Dortmund II's Tim Väyrynen on a long-term loan deal, lasting until 2016.
The Regionalliga West side, who currently sit fourth in their division, are gunning for promotion to the 3. Liga and the Finnish forward should bolster the Westphalians' attack.
Stephan Küsters, sporting director at the club, was pleased to have acquired the youngster, "Tim Väyrynen fits very well with our young team. We wanted to expand the attack further and with him we have signed good, young player."
He'll replace Faith Candan, the league's top-scorer, who recently left for Kardemir Karabükspor in the transfer window. "He is a beefy attacker and a slightly different type of player to Fatih Candan," added Küsters.
Dortmund signed Väyrynen in January 2014 from FC Honka, for around £300,000. He's made 11 appearances for BVB's 3. Liga side, but has only started twice in that time and is yet to score.
The Finn has made his debut for the national side and was a prolific goalscorer at youth level, netting 25 goals in 44 games across the under-17s, under-19s and udner-21s.
