AS Roma are lining up a bid for FC Lorient winger Raphaël Guerreiro as they look to replace the imminently departing Gervinho.

The 21-year-old scored seven and assisted five in 34 Ligue 1 appearances last term as the Stade du Moustoir outfit finished 16th.

The French born Portugal international Guerreiro is predominantly a winger although he was used eleven times at left back in all competitions last season where he got one of his seven aforementioned assists.

Subject to other interest

French treble winners Paris Saint-Germain have allegedly tabled a €5 million offer for the player who is part of the Portugal U21 side at the ongoing UEFA European U21 Championships.

Premier League side Arsenal and Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon have also shown interest in signing the exciting prospect.

Gervinho Asia bound

Gervinho will leave the Giallorossi and move to UAE side Al Jazira upon returning from international duty with the Ivory Coast for a reported €13 million.

The Ivorian made 24 Serie A appearances last season grabbing two goals and five assists in the process in what proved to be a disappointing season for him while Roma finished runners up to Juventus.

Gervinho made the switch to the capital in 2013 from Arsenal and put pen to paper on a five year contract and made over half a century of appearances during his two year stay.

Other Options

Gazetta Dello Sport reports suggest that out of contract Marseille winger Andre Ayew was on the list of potential replacements for the Ivorian international, but he has now moved to Swansea City.

Unsettled Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado, formerly of Fiorentina amongst other Italian teams, has been linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico recently as well as fellow premier league star Nani of Manchester United who is also being courted by Inter.

Iaqo Falque of Genoa is also reportedly in the frame for a move to the club.
