Adnan Januzaj joins Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United

Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj joins Borussia Dortmund. The Belgian international joins Thomas Tuchel’s side on loan from Manchester United.

This deal could have a knock on effect with Jakub Błaszczykowski set to join Italian side Fiorentina that has a view to a permanent deal. The original fee will cost €1m and if they choose to make it permanent it’ll be a €6m move for the Pole.

The 20-year-old joins until the end of the season but there is no option for the winger to be bought by the DFB Pokal runners-up.

Januzaj takes number nine shirt

Adnan Januzaj will wear the number 9 shirt for Borussia Dortmund this season, the Belgian international acknowledged how great of a side Dortmud are “great club” Januzaj continued and with Dortmund in the Europa League, the German Cup and continue to lead the league adding that he “wants to achieve great things with the club”. As the Yellow Wall are renowned for around the world, they provide a breathtaking atmosphere which is unrivalled in big games in and out of the Bundesliga stating that “the fans are really incredible.”

Borussia Dortmund are flying high in the Bundesliga in the opening games, Thomas Tuchel has rejuvenated his side after taking over from Jürgen Klopp who decided to take a sabbatical. Under Tuchel, BVB are unbeaten in eight and have scored 30 goals since taking charge. Dortmund are top of the Bundesliga after last season’s topsy-turvy campaign which saw Klopp’s side eventually finish seventh.

With the international break coming thick and fast, it will mean that the youngster will have to wait to be in the squad. When the Bundesliga returns, the loanee can be expected to be at least in the squad that travel to Hannover in twelve days time.

With one player departing and Januzaj arriving, it means he is Thomas Tuchel’s fifth signing. Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc is pleased with the signings made this summer and he is happy at die Borussen’s deals this summer, especially with Januzaj he believes “[Januzaj] completes our attacking department”.
