Paulo Sousa takes his Fiorentina side north to face league leaders Inter to close out the matchday six action, as he looks to build on his new club's steady start to the season.

Both sides in good form

The hosts come into the tie off the back of a win against Verona on day night. The Nerrazzurri have won all five of their fixtures thus far including a 1-0 win over arch rivals Milan. They also snatched a win against newcomers Carpi with thanks to a late penalty from Stevan Jovetic on matchday two, having beaten Atalanta 1-0 in their season opener.

Fiorentina come into the match having also played midweek. The Florence-based club fought off Bologna at their Stadio Artemi Franchi home on Wednesday night thanks to a goal each from new boys Jakub Blaszczykowski and Nikola Kalinic. The visitors started the season off with an impressive 2-0 victory over Milan before falling 3-1 to Torino a week later. Consecutive 1-0 victories followed against Genoa and Carpi respectively.

Inter Predicted Starting XI: Handanovic - Santon, Miranda, Medel, Telles - Melo, Guarin, Kondogbia - Ljajic, Perisic, Jovetic.

Fiorentina, on the other hand, have no problems whatsoever and Sousa has a full squad to pick from including Giuseppe Rossi, who has not long returned after a lengthy spell out.

Fiorentina Predicted Starting XI: Tatarusanu - Astori, Rodriguez, Roncaglia, Marcos Alonso - Badelj, Valero, Vecino - Babacar, Kalinic, Blaszczykowski.

Fiorentina struggle in Milan

Inter have came out on top on 12 of the last 13 occasions the sides have played at the San Siro and kept a clean sheet in six of those games. The fixture is one of the most played in the league historically, with 157 meetings between them. Inter have the upper hand with 62 victories to Fiorentina's 43 - their last tussle came when the sides met in March of this year.

A Mo Salah goal just before the hour mark was enough to give La Viola maximum points back in March. Fiorentina have come out victorious in three of the last five meetings. Inter last recorded a victory in February last year when Rodrigo Palacio and Mauro Icardi scored either side of a Juan Cuadrado goal just after the half-time mark.

Ones to watch

Inter - Stevan Jovetic - The summer signing has netted three times so far this season and has been generally good for the Milanese side. Furthermore, he is one of the main reasons that the club find themselves top, with his aforementioned penalty winner just one of many major contributions. Jovetic brings both pace and skill to the Inter side and it would be wrong to suggest that he isn't in with a chance of adding to his tally.

Fiorentina - Khouma Babacar - The youngster has two goals to his name in three domestic fixtures this campaign and is definitely carrying his good pre-season form into the competitive action with him. He is one of - if not the biggest - prospect for the club this season and his goals may well be deciding where Fiorentina find themselves come the end of the year.
