Fiorentina, Inter Milan, Roma and Sassuolo have all learnt who they'll be facing in the Europa League group stages this term.

Fiorentina

Fiorentina were in Pot 1 for the draw and landed in Group J. Their opponents are PAOK Thessaloniki of Greece, Slovan Liberec of the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan's Qarabag FK.

Passage into the next round is an achievable goal for sure. La Viola were runners up in the 1989-90 UEFA Cup as they lost out to Juventus. Last season, they reached the round of 32 but were thrashed 4-1 on aggregate against Tottenham.

Inter Milan

Inter were Serie A's other representative in Pot 1 and were placed in Group K. They will face Czech outfit Sparta Prague, Southampton of England and Hapoel Beer Sheva of Israel.

Inter have went through some turbulent years as of late but will no doubt feel they can progress through this group despite the big challenge the Saints bring. They've won the competition in its former UEFA cup format on three occasions, all coming in the 1990's when Italian sides reigned supreme in the competition.

Roma

Roma found themselves in the draw today as a result of being knocked out in the Champions League play off round at the hands of Porto, who blew them out the water in the second leg which saw two of the giallorossi's players sent off.

They were drawn from Pot 2 in to Group E and will face Czech Republic' Viktoria Plzen, who were also knocked out in the UCL playoff round, Austria Wien and Romania's Astra Giurgiu, who knocked West Ham out to have their name in the metaphorical hat. Roma have arguably the easiest group of the Italian sides and are also Italy's best chance at winning the competiton.

Sassuolo

The fairytale continues for Sassuolo, whom 10 years ago were playing Serie C2. A meteoric rise now sees them making their maiden voyage into Europe and they'll be in Group F having been drawn from Pot 4.

The neroverdi will clash heads with Athletic Club de Bilbao of Spain, Genk of Belgium and Austria's Rapid Wien. Any victory in this competition will make history and it certainly won't be the last chance the MAPEI stadium will have to experience European football if this time round doesn't go to plan.
