In what promises to be a fantastic spectacle on Tuesday evening, VfL Wolfsburg host fellow top team Borussia Dortmund at the Volkswagen Arena in the Bundesliga, looking to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign.

Both sides looking to challenge at the top of the Bundesliga

The Wolves go into the fourth matchday of matches still unbeaten, recording one win and two draws. The problem though is that the hosts have failed to score in their last two games which must improve in order for the team to keep tabs with the other top four contenders.

Dortmund have also been in mixed form at the start of the campaign but come into the game on the back of thrashing SV Darmstadt 98 6-0 at home on Saturday.

Thomas Tuchel's side started the league season with a victory against 1. FSV Mainz 05 before they lost to RB Leipzig but they will now look to push on and try and challenge for the title by defeating one of the main contenders so early in the season.

Tuchel's side edged the corresponding fixture between the sides last season

Last season's encounter between these sides at the Volkswagen Arena resulted in a 2-1 victory for Tuchel's side. The goals that day for the visitors were scored by Marcos Reus and Shinji Kagawa which cancelled out Ricardo Rodríguez's late goal for the hosts.

Before that win, though the Wolves were unbeaten against Dortmund on their three previous visits to the stadium and they will be looking get one back on them this time around.

Team news

The good news for the hosts is that Josuha Guilavogui is the only player unavailable for the game due to injury but apart from that Dieter Hecking has everyone else to choose from.

Hecking though may make changes to his forward line for the game as they misfired in their game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim at the weekend despite havIng a number of chances to win the game.

On the other hand, Tuchel will be without a number of players for the game due to injuries. Erik Durm, Sven Bender, Reus and Neven Subotić will miss the game while Andre Schurrle and Mikel Merino are doubts for the game and will face late fitness tests ahead of the game to see if they can play.

Tuchel though has a forward line on fire compared to Wolfsburg and is likely to keep the same lineup he had for the last game as it worked so well for him.
