The Nerrazzuri have had a poor start to the season and sit 11th in the table, with a lot of ground to make up if they want to achieve their target of European qualification.

Frank de Boer, who replaced Italian Roberto Mancini, as the new head coach this summer for the club, has come in for much of the scrutiny already. If reports are to believed, the club are now looking for potential replacements for the faltering Dutchman.

Rudi Garcia leads the list of potential candidates

Ex-Roma manager, Rudi Garcia's name has come up in the list of potential candidates along with former Lazio man Stefano Pioli and recently sacked Swansea City manager Francesco Guidolin. A return into the foray of club management has also been spoken of for Fabio Capello,  although it remains to be seen if the Italian would be interested.

Rudi Garcia's style of attacking play might just be what Inter need to truly unlock the potential of this very talented squad that they currently have. de Boer's typical Dutch approach to games might not necessarily bear the fruits that the Inter board and the fans desire to see from the Nerrazzuri, which is probably why the club are looking for potential replacements at the helm.

The Suning group's takeover of the club in the summer resulted in the arrival of some very exciting talents, the likes of Joao MarioAntonio Candreva and Ever Banega. However, the young and talented Gabriel Barbosa has featured only once and the Suning group is frustrated over the Brazilian's lack of playing time as they want to see some output from the money they invested in the club to take it back to the top of Italian football.

De Boer feels like he is in Formula One

Frank de Boer feels he is under pressure to turn around the club's fortunes immediately after a poor run of games which has seen them drop to mid-table position in the league.

Inter are bottom of their UEFA Europa League group and de Boer will want to get three points on the board when the team face Claude Puel's Southampton at the San Siro. Getting three points in the league against Atlanta will go some way to ease off atleast a little bit of the pressure that de Boer has been facing from the club and the fans.

"I feel like I'm in Formula One, with the haste of having to improve in a short time." says de Boer. While he acknowledges that the results are "not good at the moment", he says that the club are "at the beginning of a project" and that it takes time to "get to know" a team.

De Boer needs to understand he is running out of time and if he and the rest of the team don't start picking up points on a consistent basis, you can be sure that the Dutchman will not be at San Siro for much longer.
