Silvia Neid has selected the 23 players that she hopes will lead Germany to SheBelieves Cup glory this spring.

The Germans will take on France, England then the United States on March 3rd, 6th and 10th to decide who comes out on top.

No real surprises in the squad

There were few shocks when Neid named her squad, as Germany maintained a similar set-up to their European qualification selection.

Almuth Schult has returned after a few months out with injury and should take her place between the sticks for the Germans.

Only one player could make their debut if selected, which would see Sara Doorsoun of SGS Essen feature for the first time.

Lina Magull has also made it back from her serious shoulder injury, and will hope to get a chance to continue her superb form.

Unsurprisingly, Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg make up the majority of the squad; 10 of the 23 players come from the German giants.

Laudehr misses out

Unfortunately for Neid, she will be without star attacker Simone Laudehr during the tournament. The 1. FFC Frankfurt forward is unavailable for selection due to exams.

Laudehr is not the only player staying in Germany, with Bianca Schmidt and Jennifer Cramer both absent with bone bruising.

A torn muscle will keep Pauline Bremer out, otherwise it was a squad selection that threw up very few surprises.

The lack of Kristin Demann was an omission that raised a few eyebrows, but such is the quality of Germany's defence that some talented players will always miss out.
