Champions League hopefuls, Bayer Leverkusen travel to Augsburg with hopes of making amends of their midweek nightmare against Werder Bremen. 'Die Werkself' suffered a heavy 4-1 loss to the 'Die Werderaner' with veteran striker Claudio Pizarro netting a hat-trick conflicting further embarrassment on Leverkusen.
As for Augsburg they're coming into this game on the back of a 2-1 away defeat to Hoffenheim. With Augsburg no loner in the Europa League their full focus will no doubt be on the league and trying to get back into the Europa league.
Leverkusen's key players this game, without a doubt will be Karim Bellarabi and free-kick specialist Hakan Calhanoglu. The later will be looking to make the most of all dead ball opportunities, and to build on his two goals he has already netted this season. Bellarabi could be a constant threat throughout the game if he's at his best.
Augsburg's key player' will be Ja-Cheol Koo and Raul Bobadilla. The tricky South Korean playmaker has had a fantastic season so far and will be hopeful of building on his great year with a good display against Leverkusen. Goal getter Bobadilla will want to increase his 11 goal tally in all competitions by bagging a goal or two against 'Die Werkself'.
Not only will Leverkusen be without their manager who is still serving a touchline ban after his antics in the 1-0 defeat to Dortmund, Leverkusen will be without eight of their key starting players. Chicharito will miss the game after picking up his fifth yellow card this season against Bremen.
Bayer will also be without Stefan Kießling, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Omer Toprak, Kevin Kampl, Charles Aranguiz, Lars Bender and Roberto Hilbert who all miss the game through injury, the availability of Jonathan Tah is still unknown which would leave Leverkusen with just Tin Jedvaj available to play at centre-back.
Augsburg have some injury concerns of their own, influential midfielder, Daniel Baier has been recovering well from his injury however, he won't be available for tomorrow's game. The sam story stands for Markus Feulner and Piotr Trochowski who are both out of tomorrow's match.
