Frank de Boer's Inter Milan have reportedly been offered Spanish star Cesc Fabregas by Antonio Conte's Chelsea, as the Blues look into a possible swap deal involving Marcelo Brozovic.

The Nerrazurri are unwilling to let the Croatian leave the San Siro to an Italian club, leaving a sale of the 23-year-old abroad as the only option.

Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport says that the Blues are willing to offer Fabregas in order to tempt Inter to sell the former Dinamo Zagreb star.

A prospering Croat

Brozovic made 32 appearances for Inter in the Serie A last season, racking up a tally of four goals and just as many assists, helping Roberto Mancini's men to a fourth placed finish.

Someone who is a box-to-box midfielder by trade, Brozovic can also operate a variety of positions on the pitch including on the right. Despite his versatility he is not neccesarily a starter for Inter who arguably have better options.

A very active summer for Inter

Inter, who ended up getting rid of Roberto Mancini after the Italian guided the giants to a fourth-placed finish last season, have been one of the most active sides in the Serie A in terms of transfers this summer.

The Nerrazzuri have acquired the services of a number of players this summer, including Antonio Candreva from Lazio, Joao Mario from Sporting Lisbon, Brazilian starlet Gabriel Barbosa from Santos and Cristian Ansaldi from Genoa among others.

The start to the season hasn't been impressive for the men in blue and black, as Frank de Boer has failed to rack up a win in his opening two games at his new club following a 2-0 loss against Chievo Verona and a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Palermo on Sunday, that saw Mauro Icardi score his first goal of the season.
