As the club confirmed on their own website, Martín Montoya from Barcelona has joined the promoted team Real Betis on loan and will stay in Seville until the end of the current season. The 24-year-old right back joined the Green-Whites, because of the match practice, which he missed in his Barcelona time. He played for Serie A side Inter Milan and got even there not enough minutes of play.

The player himself is very happy to join the Béticos and said in an interview for the site: "I’m coming eager and full of ambition to play and feel like a footballer again. I’m very happy for this opportunity with a great Club such as Real Betis." Furthermore, he added that "he wants to give his best to, firstly, stay in the first division, and then aim higher goals."

He continued with saying something about himself and what he can actually bring to the team: "I have a lot of experience from when I was in FC Barcelona. I can offer my main assets, which are going strong on the wing, join the attacking plays and create chances", he said.

For Betis, the signing of Montoya is for sure a very good one, because the right back can help the team a lot to get stability in defense and can bring the play on another level with pushing forward as a wing back.

Betis also signed Musonda

Real Betis have also signed Charly Musonda Jr. from Chelsea and got a new player for the offensive area in the team. The 18-year-old can play as an attacking midfielder and as a winger. Musonda wants to level up and ventures a step from the U21 Premier League to the Primera Divisíon in Spain. The Belgian came on loan and will play for the Andalusian until the summer.

Musonda can definitely encourage the competitive battle within the team and could help the promoted team to score more goals in the second leg of the season.
