Judd Trump leads 12-4 and needs just one frame to beat Ding Junhui and secure his place in the World Snooker Championship semi-finals.

Many felt this would be the tie of the round but Trump has been dominant throughout and has recorded four century breaks on his way to being on the verge of the last four where if he completes the win he will take on the winner  of Stuart Bingham v Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Bingham finds himself 5-3 up in that match after winning the last three frames of Tuesday afternoons session. Bingham will know he will have to be at his best to beat the five time champion, O'Sullivan but he has made a good start and if he can keep his nose in front the Rocket could grow frustrated which would give Bingham a great chance of progressing.

On the other side of the draw Shaun Murphy holds a 9-7 lead over qualifier, Anthony McGill in a match that looks like it could go the distance. The pair exchanged frames for most of the day before Murphy moved 9-6 clear with four frames in a row but McGill won the final frame of the team to go into tomorrow's session 9-7 down.

In the final quarter-final Barry Hawkins holds a 5-3 lead over Australia's Neil Robertson. Robertson took a 3-1 lead but Hawkins won the last four frames of the session to lead 5-3 overnight.

All four games will be played  to a finish tomorrow and then one of the tables will be removed from the arena ahead of the semi-finals starting on Thursday afternoon.
