Novak Djokovic returned to the court today for the first time since being crowned Australian open champion and he looked imperious throughout to breeze through to the second round.

Double quick time for Serb

The victory took just 66 minutes for Djokovic as he gave away just the seven points on serve in the whole match.

Tommy Robredo barely got a foot-hold in the game and the stat which will worry him the most his the first serve points won which was at a lowly 55%.

The domination which the 28 year-old currently has in the game is nothing short of astonishing as nobody can get near him currently.

Milestone on the radar

One more win will take the world number one to 700 career victories which will be a fabulous achievement.

He next goes on to face fellow Serb Malek Jaziri on Wednesday for a place in the quarter finals.

'Every milestone is very special, of course. I wish that I make the 700th win in this tournament, obviously,' said Djokovic.

Unbeaten this year

Djokovic has yet to taste defeat this year and he has picked up 13 wins so far having won both the Aussie Open and Doha.

Djokovic has already won this event on four separate occasions, but he faces stiff competition from Stan Warwinka and Nick Kyrigos for the crown.

The final of the event is on Saturday evening and if the event goes down to form, the 28 year-old will face the Swiss Warwinka in the final.

Djokovic will be heavy favourite in the next round, but Jaziri will not be a push over and the Serb knows that this is definitely the case.
