11:35. Since their collision at Spa, tensions have been running high in the Mercedes camp. So will Rosberg adapt a cautious approach or will he go wheel to wheel with his British team mate?

11:30. It will be intriguing to see how Rosberg approaches Hamilton at the start of this Grand Prix.

11:00. Two hours to go! Follow us at @VAVEL for up to date reports! I'm Aaron Irwin and this is the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix live as it happens!

10:50. It was revealed post race that team bosses Flavio Briatore and Pat Symonds had instructed Piquet to crash, allowing Alonso to win. 10:35. Last season's result...

10:30. As this is the first race since the FIA introduced their radical changes to what information teams relay to their drivers, it could be interesting to see how the drivers react.

10:25. With Singapore being the only night race on the calendar, it adds a certain glamour to the race. A street circuit, like Monaco, Singapore offers a challenge with it's tight turns and long straights, it can be very demanding on the cars and the drivers.

10:15. Polesitter Lewis Hamilton thought he'd messed up in Qualifying when he locked up going into his final lap: 'it was just that little catch into turn one and I thought that was it.' He went on to add how it was one of the 'most exciting sessions I'd had in a long time.'

10:10. Fernando Alonso claims he can take victory this afternoon: 'We have been competitive in all costless practice sessions...we remained competitive in qualy so that is very good news.' Alonso, who starts fifth, added 'we have this opportunity and hopefully we can finish the weekend in a good manner.'

10:05. Hamilton starts on pole for today's race, beating Rosberg by just seven thousandths of a second. The Red Bulls of Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel occupy the second row.
