Nigerian International Eddy Ogenyi Onazi is ecstatic playing in his first game for Trabzonspor of Turkey after sealing a move from Italian outfit SS Lazio.
“I got my first run out yesterday”.
“Thank you Lord!”
The 23 year old revealed this on his official twitter handle and described in brief how relieved he is to have been handed his first run-out with his new club.
Trabzonspor continued with its preparation for the new season in the city of Gyor, Hungary where it faced Gyirmot. Trabzonspor won the contest 2-0 with Yusuf Erdogan scoring the first goal in the 27th minute while Joseph Printer rounded off the victory in the 79th with the second goal of the game.
After spending five years at the Stadio Olimpico, Onazi decided a change was needed and completed a reported five million euro transfer to Turkey.
Onazi played 20 times last season for Lazio, scoring two goals in the process- one against St. Etienne in the UEFA Europa League and scored against Empoli in the Serie A.
The recently married midfielder will now seek to focus on a new chapter in his career as the new Turkish League starts.
