That's a wrap

That wraps up the coverage of tonight's match.

There's plenty more NRL coverage to come over the course of the weekend so keep an eye out for that.

But until then, I've been Tom Young, goodnight!

Full-time: Melbourne Storm 27-25 Sydney Roosters

The best game that'll you watch all season.

The Storm come out on top in an absolute thriller!

They looked to be dead and burried when they trailed by 10 with 10 left on the clock. Two tries in three minutes swung the game on its head before the Roosters levelled via the boot of Flanagan and then looked to have won it via the boot of Keary with less than a minute on the clock. Step up Ryan Papenhuyzen who levelled via a one-pointer of his own on the hooter before Cam Smith's penalty won it in extra time. And breathe!
12:55a year ago

He could kick that with his eyes shut.

Cam Smith kicks the golden points to win the game for the Storm!

Sensational game of rugby.

They'll have to be quick, there's just four minutes left on the clock.

Quick check on obstruction but that'll be given!

12:33a year ago

One last chance for the Storm perhaps?

A penalty at the restart for offside. Melbourne ball 20 metres out.

Their success rate in front of the sticks tonight has been awful.

12:29a year ago

68' | TRY Roosters!

Game over. Josh Morris gets his second of the night to stretch the lead to 10 with the kick to come. The Roosters showing once again why they are the best side in the competition.
12:26a year ago

Credit the Roosters' defence but this has been pretty awful from the Storm's attack in all honesty.

They've had so much of the ball tonight but have only scored through two interceptions.

You struggle to see a way back in for them.

12:24a year ago

The Storm with three consecutive sets on the Roosters line and they can't do anything with it.

The Roosters defence has been incredible tonight.

12:19a year ago

The Storm need to take advantage of these chances now.

The Storm simply have to score next.

That's a killer for the Storm.

They've dominated this second half but fall behind after a very impressive attacking set from the Roosters.

Brett Morris is in the corner as Sydney retake the lead.

12:09a year ago

For all their domination in this second half, the Storm look lost in front of goal.

They have another set of six in the 10 after another Roosters mistake but they can't find a way over!

12:06a year ago

The Roosters have completed just 1/4 sets so far in the second half.

5/5 for the Storm.

12:06a year ago

The Roosters have looked shaky in the opening ten minutes of this second period.

But can the Storm take advantage?

12:04a year ago

I must say I've been very impressed with Cam Smith tonight.

The hooker in the five-eighth role in the absence of Cameron Munster and has looked very solid indeed.

A perfect read from Eisenhuth who reads the offload perfectly and intercepts the ball before finding the supporting run of Hughes who races away to touch down under the posts.

The TMO will check if Morris stayed in touch but there's no issues with this one.

11:36a year ago

And now a set restart on the 5th!

Can the Roosters make it count?

11:35a year ago

Now the Storm with the mistake as they put the ball to the ground on their 30.

Good opportunity for the Roosters here as we approach half-time.

11:32a year ago

The Storm are on top here as they keep the Roosters pinned in once again.

They'll begin their latest set in the Roosters half.

11:30a year ago

There's been some big hits tonight but that might be the biggest!

11:21a year ago

And they throw the ball into touch on the first.

Panic over for the Storm... for now at least.

11:21a year ago

23' | Successful Captain's Challenge

The Roosters use the first captain's challenge of the night and it's a successful one as they overturn the referee's original call of a Roosters knock on to get the head and feed 10 metres out.

This will be their first full set in the Storm 20.

11:16a year ago

The Storm get a couple of set restarts before giving away a penalty for offside.

It's been a very good encounter so far.

We're level.

11:09a year ago

13' | TRY Storm!

Talk about a response! The Storm hit straight back as Addo-Carr capitalises on a mistake by Flanagan whose pass hits the ground and Addo-Carr is on hand to scoop up the loose ball and race away as the Storm hit back!
11:08a year ago

12' | Successful Conversion

Flanagan adds the extras from straight in front.

The Roosters haven't been at their best through the opening 10 but it's they who open the scoring.

11:07a year ago

10' | TRY Roosters!

The Roosters get the opening score of the game through Kyle Flanagan.

It comes on the back of a Storm mistake which sees Melbourne lose possession on their own 20. Morris intercepts before finding Flanagan who strolls in under the sticks for the opener.

11:05a year ago

The Storm put the ball to ground on the fourth as the Roosters regain possession.
11:04a year ago

The Roosters get the ball in hand in Storm territory for the first time tonight and man, do they look good when they throw the rock about.

Nothing coming though as the kick on the fifth goes dead. The Storm will have a seven-tackle set here.

11:00a year ago

They may not be at 'home' tonight but the Storms record at the Suncorp is very impressive.

They'll have to be at the top of their game tonight, but surely that must be a boost for the Melbourne outfit?

10:59a year ago

Nothing to talk in terms of goalmouth action as of yet as both sides complete their first couple of sets without any errors.

The Storm slightly edging the territory battle so far.

10:58a year ago

There's an early injury concern for the Roosters here as Nat Butcher stays down having been nailed in the tackle.

Neither side holding back in the early exchanges!

10:56a year ago

The battle of the fullbacks will be huge tonight as Ryan Papenhuyzen comes up against James Tedesco.

Who will come out on top?

10:54a year ago

We're underway as the Roosters take possession from the kick-off.
10:48a year ago

We are moments away from kick-off here at the Suncorp.

Roosters hot streak to continue?

They may have started the season in disappointing fashion, losing their opening two matches, but the Roosters have hit the ground running since the restart.

They have won all five fixtures since the return and will be boosted by the return of influential fullback James Tedesco tonight. Who would back against them making it six from six?

10:26a year ago

Storm out for revenge?

The Melbourne Storm finished top of the NRL at the end of the regulation games in the 2019 competition and have started well again in this campaign, picking up five wins from seven so far.

They will be looking to extract some revenge on the Roosters, who defeated the Melbourne outfit in the preliminary final last season as they went on to be crowned NRL Champions.
