Hope of reaching Diggie looked bleak as Maddie was trapped in the girl's locker room. Then out of nowhere, with an act of great strength, Willow moved two sets of lockers from the exit, permitting Maddie to escape. Was her ex-boyfriend still in the high school? While rounding the corner, the Ridgewood Fighting Porcupines' best basketball player yelled "Diggie, am I too late?"

To be continued.

Tonight the wait was over, Liv and Maddie was back! After three long weeks of waiting and wondering if more "Miggie" moments were in Season 3, the nation received an answer.

Picking up right where Season 2 left off, viewers immediately learned that when Maddie arrived, Diggie was not waiting for her. Distraught and sad, she returned home to tell Liv and Joey the news. This is when Joey came up with the idea for himself and Maddie to travel to Los Angeles, where Diggie was expected to be waiting for his plane exchange. So with a strategy to stop his departure, the brother and sister took off to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). But how was Liv going to cover for her twin? Through schemes and impersonations, the actress tight-roped past close situations until the doorbell rang. It was Diggie.

Diggie decided to forgo becoming a foreign exchange student in Australia and instead pursue a relationship with Maddie. However, a problem came to the forefront. Where was Maddie? She was about to head to Australia in hopes of connecting with Diggie.

Thankfully, Liv's agent, who offered her a deal to be the star of a show called Voltage earlier in the program, arrived at the Rooney household to tell her client that they could film the program in Stevens Point, rather than Hollywood. The following was huge since the reason Liv declined the role was because she did not want to leave her sister again. In addition to offering the chance of a lifetime, the agent gave Diggie, who was still in Wisconsin, a way of transportation to Los Angeles.

While Maddie was waiting for her flight to begin boarding, she heard someone speak her name. It was Diggie! The two lovingly embraced each other in the airport terminal as everyone watching on TV thought the couple was going to be an item for future episodes. Surprisingly, they were wrong. As the two conversed back and forth, Maddie told Diggie she wanted him to go to Australia, and if their relationship was meant to be, the two could rekindle it in the future.

The scene was by far the most emotional segment of any Liv and Maddie episode ever shown.

Without a doubt, "Continued-A-Rooney" was the perfect way to start a new season of the popular comedy. But the night was not over, SkyVolt was coming.

Cameo Performance

Not only did Liv and Maddie fans finally learn the fate of Miggie, but they also received a taste of the comedic stylings of Frank Caliendo. Caliendo, who is most known for his impressions, imitated the great actors of Morgan Freeman and Adam Sandler to perfection as an airport employee.
