1. FC Kaisersluatern midfielder Ruben Jenssen has picked up a stress fracture in one of his right metatarsals, it was confirmed on Tuesday.

The injury follows a tough week for the Red Devils, who faced 1. FC Union Berlin, Bayer Leverkusen and SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the space of just nine days.

Unfortunately that seems to have taken their toll on Jenssen, though it is not certain how long he'll be missing for. It could be as little as a four week absence or stretch to the remainder of the season.

In Berlin he was substituted after eighty minutes, as Kosta Runjaic's side failed to take advantage of Karlsruher SC and SV Darmstadt 98's draws.

Jenssen has made twenty appearances this season and started fourteen of the last fifteen matches, so the Austrian head coach will certainly miss the experienced 26-year-old.

There is no let up in the tough run of fixtures for the 2. Bundesliga's second-placed side, as they take on 1. FC Nürnberg this Saturday.
