Hannover 96 have today confirmed the signing of 1860 Munich's Marius Wolf, for a fee in the region of €1.5 million. The striker has signed a contract with the HDI-Arena side until 2019, ranging for three and half years. He has received the number 21.
Wolf has impressed up to now this campaign, despite die Löwen's continual flirtation with relegation. The striker who made his 1860 debut in 2014 and has scored five goals in the eighteen months and forty four appearances following, whilst also contributing four assists. However it has been this season that he, Wolf, has come into his own with three goals in eighteen domestic games.
High praise
Die Roten Managing Director, Martin Bader, was quick to praise the addition of Wolf. He said firstly, "We appreciate his quality!", before adding, "Marius already has youth international experience and demonstrated his high quality. With him we'll have more options in attack."
Thomas Schaaf, who became die Roten manager only last week, also echoed his colleagues sentiments. "We've committed to a transfer, for a player [Marius Wolf] who has great potential. Maybe we can benefit sooner, if he shows good performances," the Hannover 96 manager told the clubs website.
Keen to impress
The player himself was eager to make a mark at his new club. Fresh from the winter break, where die Roten will be in Turkey, Wolf would like to hit the ground running so to speak. The striker said, "I want to integrate myself quickly and try to improve myself in every training session and I will do everything to help this team to achieve success in the league."

Hard work ahead
Despite securing perhaps a dream move to the Bundesliga, Wolf still has a lot of hard work along with his team-mates if they are to stave off to drop from the Bundesliga during the rückrunde.
die Roten have once again struggled and sit in 17th place during the winter break. However during the transfer window, they have already been quick to act securing the services of a number of places. Along side Wolf, the trio of Ádám Szalai, Iver Fossum and Hotaru Yamaguchi have been brought to the HDI-Arena in an effort to reverse the clubs fortunes.
