After several delays due to the weather conditions, the Super Combined finally took place this Sunday.

First run (Super G)

All eyes were on Lindsey Vonn after her injury yesterday during the Super G. The American champion suffers from a hairline fracture in her left knee, but was eager to compete in the Super Combined today. She skied a smooth and error-free Super G to finally claim the top spot of the first run, impressing the alpine skiing fans.

Kajsa Kling claimed the provisonal podium with her bib 30. The skier from Sweden impressed, skiing great turning sections and gaining speed on every part of the slope.

In third place of the Super G was Laurenne Ross. The American skier confirmed her great shape after her second place yesterday in Soldeu. She showed a relaxed and smooth ski to take as much time as possible on technical specialists before the Slalom.

Lara Gut bounced back after her poor Super G yesterday. She ends in fifth place after the first run, skiing an amazing low section after a disappointing start.

The first slalom specialist ended in the 9th position, Marie-Michèle Gagnon shew a great form and signed a superb performance to stay in the hunt for the podium. Just behind her is Tessa Worley. The French woman knew after yesterday's race she could sign a great performance in the first run of the Super Combined, in order to be well placed for the slalom.

Second run (Slalom)

Anne-Sophie Barthet was the first to make a big impression during the Slalom. The French skier reached the finish line with more than a second ahead of the provisional leader. Then came the turn of Wendy Holdener. The young woman who claimed her first World Cup victory last Tuesday during the City Event in Stockholm took her chance, doing a good last section with a huge speed to take the lead. Marie-Michèle Gagnon, who was the first slalom specialist after the Super G run, made some mistakes on each section, but kept on attacking with a full commitment. She was determined and gave everything, she finally crossed the line with a green light.

Lara Gut proved she could compete in slalom, winning the Super Combined of Val d'Isère. But the young woman made a mistake and went out in the middle part of the track. She doesn't score any precious points for the overall today. Laurenne Ross was skiing a pretty good slalom, but also went out nearly at the same part of the slope as Gut.

The winner of the Super G run lost most of her advantage after the first intermediate. Lindsey Vonn couldn't keep her lead to claim the win and finally ended at the 12th position.

Marie-Michèle Gagnon wins the Super Combined of Soldeu 0.20 seconds ahead of Wendy Holdener and 0.61 seconds ahead of Anne-Sophie Barthet.
