The center of France is one of the great figures of his country, he plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA. France enters the basketball tournament in Europe with the aim of being among the greatest exponents of the continent, they managed to get into the second round of the qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup. They finished in third place in Group B With a record of 3 wins and 2 losses, they are gradually approaching the final rounds but for that they will have to leave Italy out. The objective in this EuroBasket for the French is to fight to become one of the best teams in the competition and fight for the European title. The team led by Vincent Collet has great experience, including Rudy Gobert, Evan Fournier, Guerschon Yabusele, Thomas Huertel and Amath M'Baye. Simone Fontecchio, a must see player!

The shooting guard from Italy comes to this FIBA EuroBasket after having a good season with the Utah Jazz of the United States NBA. The young Italian is one of the great promises of the team and where he hopes that his participation in this championship will allow him to get a place in the starting five and have more opportunities in the future. Fontecchio arrives at the EuroBasket averaging 19.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, which has made him one of the best players in his country. This must make a good pair with Nicoló Melli and Luigui Datome for Italy to fight to get among the best on the continent.

The representative of Italy arrives after going through a good tie for the FIBA World Cup 2023, the team is in second place in Group D with 5 wins and 1 loss, getting closer and closer to tickets to the World Cup World. In their last games they won against Ukraine by a score of 97-89 and they also beat Georgia at home by a score of 91-84. Italy is one of the strong teams in the region and has a good base of players like Simone Fontecchio, Nicoló Melli, Achille Palonara, and Luigi Datome. The Italian representative qualified in fourth place in Group C, just above Estonia and Great Britain, with a record of 3 wins and 2 losses. These come from giving the surprise and leaving out a Serbia that was favorite to advance by a score of 94 to 86.
