Georgia Tech went into Saturday's game with Wofford with one thing in mind and that was winning. After the first half, it looked as if that was going to be a hard thing to do. The Wofford Terriers absolutely lived up to there name of the Terriers because they were tough throughout the entire game and never gave up. Georgia Tech ended up winning 38-19, but do not let the score fool anyone.

The Terriers nearly defeated a FBS school on their home field. The key word there is nearly because Georgia Tech pulled it out in the end. The Yellow Jackets struggled in the first half and on into the second half.

At halftime, before the teams went into the locker room, head coach Paul Johnson was a man of few words. He was visibly upset on how the team was performing and how they gave up a 92 yard touchdown from Ray Smith. Rushing is something that Tech should have shut down due to them practicing against option every week.

The second half was a lot better for the Yellow Jackets, as they came out firing on all cylinders and were able to extend their lead. They extended their lead to two scores late in the 3rd quarter and that seemed like the turning point of the game. A touchdown to DeAndre Smelter from Justin Thomas proved to be what really set the Yellow Jackets apart from the Terriers.

Georgia Tech better heal up really quickly because come next week they are facing an upset minded Tulane Green Wave football team that recently announced that they have sold out the Superdome for the first time in several years.
