Cornelius Hudson, the younger brother of NFL player Michael Crabtree, has enrolled at Wake Forest and will play basketball for new coach Danny Manning, the school announced Tuesday.

Hudson graduated from high school in his home state of Texas before spending last year at Mount Zion Christian Academy, a prep school in Durham, North Carolina.

The 6-6 swingman has received praise from Manning, who has taken over at Wake Forest after leading Tulsa to the NCAA Tournament last season.

"We are glad to have Cornelius in the fold for this season," Manning said about his latest recruit. "He is a versatile, all-around player who is capable of playing any one of the perimeter spots on the floor. He has great length and athleticism and will be a valuable addition to our program. Cornelius has a tremendous family and has had some great coaching.”

Hudson is fully enrolled in classes at Wake Forest and is eligible to participate in all basketball activities immediately, according to Manning.

The Dallas native will join three other freshmen, Rondale Watson, Mitchell Wilbekin and Konstantinos Mitoglou on the Wake Forest roster this season.
