Despite a huge performance from Danrad Knowles, The Houston Cougars could not find a way to hold on at home as they dropped a conference game to the Tulane Green Wave.

Knowles had a monster game for the Cougars as he scored 31 points in 31 minutes. Houston saw another big contribution in the form of junior forward Devonta Pollard, who scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a near double-double performance. In addition, guard LeRon Barnes channeled his inner James Harden as he finished the game with nine rebounds.

For the Green Wave, it was more of a good overall team performance rather than a monster performance from one or two players. Guard Louis Dabney (18 points) and guard Jonathan Stark (15) were the two biggest scorers for the Green Wave. The best overall performance for the Green Wave came from Dylan Osetkowski, who came off the bench to play center and contributed heavily by scoring 10 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. Osetowski very well could have had a double-double had he started. Sophomore center Ryan Smith got the start; he scored one point in six total minutes of play.

Tulane picked up a big win over Houston, sending the Cougars to 0-6 record in conference play while the Green Wave improved to 4-2. The Cougars will look to capture there first AAC win as they take on the Cinncinatti Bearcats in their next contest. For the Green Wave, they will look to keep rolling as they next take on SMU.
