In a play that lasted just over five minutes, Mahomes found a short pass on the left to Kelce, who advanced nine yards, completed the 75-yard offense for the Chiefs and scored a touchdown.

QB Kyle Murray had the most touchdowns for the Arizona Cardinals last season. It was 24 passes and five runs for the touchdown.

"We, again, know that they are a good football team," Reid said. “They started undefeated in their first seven games, I believe, last year. So they start fast, and they have an offense and a defense, good trainers, their special teams are solid. We have to make sure that we prepare ourselves'', said coach Andy Reid.

“I think the most important thing will beá that there will be a different player each week that will haveá the 'great game'”, said Mahomes. “It will not be; necessarily Tyreek and Travis (Kelce) every week, where é like one or the other is having a big game, or both.''

"He does a "great job mixing his toppings, mixing his blitz pressures, and we're not going to be right 100% of the time," said Mahomes. “He's going to have different covers that get me during the game. It's about limiting bugs in this game, and whenever youê have the opportunities, run it.” 

“This guy dá the same headaches as all those guys who are a running threat," said Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. “Not just on projected quarterback plays, but when he decides to do that, especially on a passing play.''

“And he has a unique feeling when he – especially if youê is á in man (cover) – has a unique feeling of finding it. And when it takes off and goes north and south – you have seen the movie – this can be a problem.”

“The biggest threat is improvised plays when he is; running around the pocket and starts playing the ball 50, 60 yards down the field," said Reid. “These are the moves we need to take. And if we do that, we will succeed.” 

The Chiefs lost the first preseason game to the Chiacago Bears 19–14, but won the last two against the Washington Commanders 24–14 and the Green Bay Packers 17–10.
