When it was announced that Justin Wilson would be behind the wheel of the No. 25 Andretti Autosport Honda for the remainder of the season, it meant that he would finally be driving for a top-notch team, after most recently spending his time in the series piloting a Dale Coyne Racing entry.

In his first race in the No. 25 car this season, Wilson proved throughout the early stages of the race that he belonged racing, but his race was ended early due to a mechanical issue, causing a disappointing 18th place finish.

He didn't improve too much at the next round at Iowa, finishing 17th, but last Sunday's Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio saw him prove that he entirely has the handle on road courses and that he was truly back.

He qualified poorly, starting 14th, but as timely cautions shoved the momentum of the race back and forth, he advanced through the field quickly. At a track where passing opportunities are scarce and variables like full course yellows play a major role in the outcome, consistency is vital. And Justin Wilson was, as usual, fast and consistent when it mattered most.

Lucking out as cautions caused usual suspects to drop from the front to below the top-10, Wilson continued to move up into eventually the top-three.

When the checkers waved after 90 laps, Graham Rahal was the only man to beat Wilson to the line. Both of these two, ironically, began the race from the sixth row of the grid.

Next up for the Verizon IndyCar Series is the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway on August 23. Follow @VAVELIndyCar on Twitter for coverage leading up to and during the race weekend.
