Iraq, looking to qualify

The team coached by Zeljko Petrovic is in second place with 2 points, after two draws. Only a win would assure them of advancing to the next round; if they draw or lose, they will depend on Oman and Bahrain failing to win their match against each other.

What is the format?

The Arab tournament started with 23 teams: the 9 best-ranked teams according to the FIFA list qualified directly for the sector round, while the 14 remaining teams played a preliminary phase, from which 7 advanced.

The 16 qualifiers to this stage were divided into four sectors, each of 4 countries.

At the end of the three rounds, the first and second place finishers from each group will advance to the direct elimination matches: quarterfinals, semifinals and final, which will be played in a single match.
