INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Indiana Pacers' superstar, Paul George, has been named the first cover athlete of NBA 2K's mobile companion application. NBA 2K16 is the most popular basketball video game in the world. George has had a good run recently with national publicity and major endorsement deals.

Paul George has endorsement deals with Gatorade and Papa John's. In fact, George is in the process of recording various commercials for a national advertising campaign with Gatorade. It is not often that a player in Indianapolis sports receives endorsements, or even national publicity for that matter.

It is unclear about what the Gatorade advertising campaign will exactly entail; however, it is known that both Paul George and Joseph Young will be involved. Joseph Young was the Pacers' second-round selection (43rd overall) in the 2015 NBA Draft. Young was voted as most likely to be the biggest steal in the 2015 NBA Draft at the 2015 NBA Rookie Symposium by his fellow draft class peers.

Paul George made his debut from his gruesome leg injury last season on April 5, 2015 against the Miami Heat. George stated that he was around 65 percent when he made his debut. This means that Paul George's first game in the 2015-16 season will be his first fully healthy game since his leg injury that he suffered at the Team USA scrimmage on August 1, 2014.

In a way, Paul George's first game in 2015-16 will be regarded as his real debut. All of the eyes of the NBA will be on George as he showcases his completed rehabilitation, as well as the improvements in his skills that he has been able to make during the off-season. George has a reputation of being an extremely hard worker, which has translated to great improvements in his skills year after year.

With a highly anticipated 2015-16 season debut, an entertaining play style, and an anticipation of improvement in his skills, companies are using George in their products and advertising campaigns because they believe he will draw a large amount of popularity for all of the previously mentioned reasons.
