The New York Giants took their already disappointing season to a new low, getting shut out in front of their home crowd by the Seattle Seahawks. Big Blue could get absolutely nothing going on the offensive side of the ball, finishing with just 181 total yards. The offensive troubles were in large part due to Eli Manning's 5 interceptions, but the Giants gave the ball back voluntarily on many ocassions as well; Steve Weatherford punted the ball 8 times.

The Giants were somehow still in the game for quite a while despite scoring no points. Their defense played the Seahawks tough, causing Seattle to punt 7 times and picking off QB Russell Wilson once. However, the Giants could not overcome their offensive woes and never really posed a threat. Seattle capitalized on Eli Manning's second interception in the 2nd quarter and went up 10-0 off a Marshawn Lynch touchdown.

The game took a turn at the start of the third quarter. The Giants came out with the ball and down just 2 scores, but they were unable to mount a drive. Big Blue punted and Seattle marched down the field for another field goal to make the game 16-0. The two teams traded punts and interceptions until Seattle scored another touchdown at the start of the 4th quarter, this time off a pass from Wilson to WR Doug Baldwin.

By then the Giants were clearly out of it, but Manning still had time to throw his fifth pick of the day. He was benched after that throw and backup Curtis Painter saw out the end of the game.

The Giants (5-9) will next travel to Detroit to take on the Lions, while the Seahawks (12-2) are home to the Arizona Cardinals.
