New Zealand and South Korea return to the field next Sunday (25). New Zealand faces Honduras, at 04:00 AM ET, while the South Koreans face Romania, at 07:00 AM ET. Both matches will be held at the Ibarak Kashima Stadium.
With the victory, New Zealand picked up its first three points in Group B. South Korea, defeated, did not score. Hondura and Romania have yet to play in the round.
Chris Wood scored the only goal of the match and made history by decreeing New Zealand's 1-0 victory over South Korea. The first by an Oceania team in Olympic history!

Lee Dong takes a pen, goes to the back line and crosses low into the middle of the area. Song appears alone, but doesn't believe in the play, fumbles and shoots very weakly. In Woud's hands.
South Korea was better, but failed where it couldn't. In defense. New Zealand had been waiting for this ball to Wood since the beginning of the match, and when it came, the top scorer did not falter and put it in the back of the net. New Zealand is in the lead!
New Zealand's shot bounces off the defense and into the hands of Wood, who is face to face with Song, and opens the scoring. Flag flag flagged offside, VAR is checking.
ON THE LINE! Lee Donggyeong receives the ball on the edge of the box and shoots dangerously. Woud drops to save, but Reid, on the line, cuts it back. It would be the first goal of the match.
South Korea and New Zealand failed to open the scoring in the first half. The South Koreans tried, but Woud was the only one to stop them. The New Zealanders were not able to get in as much danger. The expectation is for a second half that is better than the first.

Cacace sets up the counterattack for New Zealand, but loses the ball in the attack and Korea sets off at speed. Lee Youhyeon mistimes the ball and fails to cross.
Foul on Kim Donghyun. South Korea exchanged passes, but without much objectivity until they received the foul. The game is still a little slow in the first half.
New Zealand ups the ante and gets all up in South Korea's attacking camp. They exchange passes, while the South Koreans watch and mark from a distance.
Korea tries another attack, but New Zealand's Elijah Just gets in the way again. In the next move, he fouls the ball on the edge of the box. The ball is cleared for South Korea.
South Korea play well down the left, Kwon is thrown into the box, and the New Zealand defender gets a hole in his chest and comes face to face with Woud, who grows on the No.7 and saves!
McCowatt tries to attack for the New Zealanders, but the South Korea pession manages to get the ball back. New Zealand exchanges passes in defense now.
Now it was New Zealand's turn. Elliot receives the ball on the edge of the box, but his weak shot is saved by Song. It was offside, but the referee did not call it.
Reid tries to get out of the game, but misses badly. He throws the ball to the South Korean attack and complicates things. South Korea attack with New Zealand off guard, on the finish worse for Reid, who took a ball in the face.
