After a successful group where Canada got three wins, nine points, and scored nine goals they took Wednesday to make the final preparations for their game against Jamaica.

Both Bev Priestman and Quinn met the Canadian media before hitting the pitch at the Training Center BBVA Bancomer in El Barriel, Mexico 45 minutes from downtown Monterrey.

Priestman was asked if she sees a difference with the Jamaican team this year as opposed to the team that they played back in 2020.

" It's for sure not the Jamaica we see now, they recruited a lot of top players and we are going to respect that as we do with every opponent and they have attacking quick threats and I do expect them to make it difficult.

Quinn noted that she is (they are) looking forward to the game and relishing the chance to reach another big final.

" I think we are really excited to play Jamaica again she said, " since we played them last time they have added a lot of new talent to their roster, their players play in the top leagues in the US and England and I think it's going to be an exciting match".

Canada in their first two games got off to slow starts vs Trinidad and Panama but was able to find a way and in their last game vs Costa Rica showed they are capable of a fast start which is crucial.

Jamaica is coming off a 4-0 win in their last group stage against Haiti which shows they are a very strong offensive threat with Khadija Shaw leading the offense.

With two powerful offenses, it will come down to which team plays a better defensive game and so far Canada's back line has been solid not conceding a goal yet.

It will be interesting to see if this game turns into a shootout or a tight defensive battle.

" I think Jamaica is going to have some solid attacking threats said, Quinn " there going to be more of an offensive presence than the teams that we faced and I think it will be an exciting challenge for us because they have some world-class attacking players".

Kickoff is scheduled for 9:00 pm on Thursday night at Estadio Universitario in Monterrey.
