The lawns have Wimbledon were a destination for Rendy Lu of Taipei. He had worked his whole life to fulfill the dreams of his father which were to be ranked top hundred in the world and play at Wimbledon. Little did Rendy know that his father would not live to see these dreams fulfilled. At the age of 17, Rendy's father died of a sudden heart attack. As a coach, mentor, and loving father this loss would have crippled many and Rendy was deeply saddened. After a brief break from the game and a lot of soul searching, Rendy found that his father was still alive inside of him and his fathers dreams would now become his own. More than ever, he must fight to honor these dreams and turn these dreams into the reality his father would have wanted for Rendy and his family. It's one thing to fight to win but beware that man that fights with purpose.

There is no man that works harder, practices, or plays with more purpose than Rendy Lu. There is a fire that burns within this man that is driven by the Gods themselves. This powerful fuel can launch you to great things or destroy you in the process. Rendy just needed to learn patience. You can work so hard and want something so much it can exhaust you or result in injury. Confucius said "The road is long, and the oxen are slow but the road is patient." As Rendy learned to harness this powerful energy, he learned to balance his game and focus on the skills and tactics that would support his ambition. Soon, there was a well rounded skillset and a disciplined aggression that he brought to the court.

Over the last year, Rendy has achieved wins over top players like Tomas Berdych, David Ferrer, and Kevin Anderson. Just last week in Nottingham he beat Feliciano Lopez and Andreas Seppi along with Dennis Istomin at Queens Club. He is coming into Wimbledon with his tools very sharp. His coach Danai Udomchoke has done a wonderful job of keeping Rendy's game finely tuned while keeping his charge happy and motivated. They have proved to be a formidable team and  expect great things to come.

Keep an eye out for this talented contender Yen-Hsun Lu. He's the soul of Taipei. "It's gotta be Lu' and there's only one direction which is to the top."
