Agnieszka Radwanska and Katerina Siniakova met for the second time in their careers. The previous matchup between the pair was won by Radwanska. Coming into the match today, Siniakova would have been hoping to level the score in the head to head. Unfortunately for the Czech, Radwanska was too strong once again.

The world number three looked comfortable out on the court, as she breezed past Siniakova. Radwanska's shot selection was brilliant throughout the match and there was nothing Siniakova could do to stop Radwanska from controlling the match. Siniakova's Wimbledon came to a swift end as Radwanska picked up the victory in just over an hour.

Radwanska gets the decisive break

Radwanska served first in the match and got herself onto the scoreboard with a strong love hold of service. Siniakova showed no sign of nerves as she confidently won her opening service game. Over the course of the next three games both players held their serve with relative ease.

With Radwanska and Siniakova looking comfortable when they were serving, it was difficult to predict whether either player would make a breakthrough in the set. In the sixth game, Siniakova's momentum dropped slightly which allowed Radwanska to finally get the lead in the set. Some poor serving by Siniakova gifted Radwanska a 40-0 lead in the game. The world number three did not falter as she capitalized on her first break point of the match, to put herself in a strong position in the set.

Radwanska was full of confidence and this was shown as she consolidated the break with another love hold of service. Siniakova added another game on to the scoreboard as she quickly won her service game to love, putting pressure on Radwanska to serve for the set.

The world number three did not show any signs of being nervous when it came to serving for the set. Radwanska raced to a 40-15 lead in the game, giving herself two set point opportunities. Siniakova managed to prevent Radwanska from taking one of the chances, but unfortunately for the Czech, there was nothing she could do to stop Radwanska from taking the set at the second time of asking.

Siniakova battles, but Radwanska is too strong

After winning the first set, Radwanska had all of the momentum in her corner. The world number one made the most of this, as she broke Siniakova in the opening game of the set. Siniakova looked unsure as to how to deal with Radwanska and after some poor play, the Czech gifted Radwanska two break point opportunities. Siniakova managed to fight off one of Radwanska's chances to break, however, she gave Radwanska one chance too many and the Polish player put herself a set and a break ahead at the second time of asking.

Just like in the previous set, Radwanska consolidated the break with a relatively comfortable hold of service. Siniakova got her first and only game of the set in the third game, as she held her serve to put herself on the scoreboard. From here Radwanska grasped control of the set, winning the remaining four games.

The Polish number one, showed her class as she broke Siniakova in the fifth game of the set. Radwanska played a number of impressive shots, to work herself two separate break point opportunities. Despite Siniakova's best efforts there was nothing that she could do to prevent Radwanska from putting herself a double break ahead in the set. Siniakova had a chance to get one of the breaks back in the very next game, however, the Czech could not capitalize on the opportunity and Radwanska went on to win the game herself.

With the score at 5-1, Siniakova was serving to keep herself in the match for at least one more game. Unfortunately for the Czech, a combination of too many errors and some impressive play by Radwanska, allowed Radwanska to break and win the set. Siniakova did not go down without a fight though, as she prevented Radwanska from taking her first two match point opportunities. Radwanska won the game, set, and match at the third time of asking, capping off an impressive display.

After  just over an hour, Radwanska booked her spot in the fourth round of Wimbledon. The Polish number one will play the recent Aegon International champion Dominika Cibulkova in the next round.
