Jack Jebb has signed an extension on his current loan deal at Hertfordshire side Stevenage FC, which will see him turn out in the red and white stripes for an additional two months.

Jebb, who made 21 appearances for the Arsenal U18s last season and is also an England U17s international being capped on two occassions.

Stevenage have come along way since the side who struggled to find their feet at the start of the season and Jack will be hoping he can use the club's ongoing fortunes in his bid to impress the Arsenal hierachy.

The Hertfordshire club has impressed recently and are currently unbeaten in three league games and Graham Westley's side, who put five past Cheltenham Town on Saturday, are a side on the up.

Labelled the "new Jack Wilshere" at just 19-years-old and described as a "technically-gifted midfielder", Jebb signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in September 2012.

Although yet to play a first-team fixture for Arsenal, Jebb made his first appearance for Graham Westley's side in the 2-1 win against Accrington Stanley infront of the home faithful.

Jebb made his first football league start again at home playing over an hours football in the narrow 1-0 win over high-flying Burton Albion.

Speaking to a reporter, Jack described his desire to one day break into the first team at Arsenal and play alongside some of the role-models of whom he looks up to at the club.

He said; "They [Arteta & Mertesacker] say keep working at it, keep your head down, do extra after training to work on your bad bits, work on your good bits still," he said last month.

"The more experienced ones like Mikel Arteta and Mertesacker are good role models.

"You never know really what the future holds, I'm obviously going to aim for the best, but if not then just work my hardest to see where I can get to."

He added: "The big difference is the physicality, there's more tackles, with the U21s with Arsenal it's more about passing the ball and Stevenage is more physical.

"Intensity of training here is bang on. Like today, tackles were flying about – it's completely different to Arsenal, it's good."

Graham Westley has added a number of loan players to his squad and has clearly taken to the talents of young Jack Jebb, who will be looking to help The Boro continue their recent run of form and maintain a late charge for the play-offs.

Known as one of the most physical leagues in the World, The Premier League is where Jebb dreams of playing and appeared grounded at the thought of his task when speaking to a reporter, stating; "[I'm here to] just get a few league games under my belt really, get a bit of experience at League Two and work on the other side of my game, the tackling and physical side, to progress my game."

Stevenage fans, who are known to take kindly to youth intake, will enjoy the youngsters creative style of play and The Boro faithful will be hoping he will excite spectators around The Lamex.
