Fleetwood Town have agreed a new deal with goalkeeper Brendan Moore to keep him at th club until the end of the 2015-16 season.

Brendan Moore is the latest addition to the North-West team as he signs on for another year. The player originally signed in February, midway through last season. He trained with the team from the start of last season but didn’t join the squad as he needed to graduate from North Carolina University.

Moore was born in Elmira, New York but he wanted to leave the United States of America in order to propel his chances on making a start in the English Football League. He is widely sought after in his home country as he is a promising youth player.

Before he started training with the Cod Army in 2014, he spent five years playing for North Carolina Tar Heels but, he only managed to get the starting role in goal in his last season.

"He had a couple of offers from teams in the MLS, but he wanted to try his luck in England, he's got a lot of potential and is very highly thought of in America," Graham Alexander told the club website last year.

Moore added: "I'm an pro so once an opportunity came along to play at the Mecca of football which is England, I decided to come over here and make the jump over the pond."

The American is the fourth player to agree to a new contract with Fleetwood Town this summer as they have already signed Jamille MattStephan Jordan and Nathan Pond.
