Everton have today announced they have released defenders Cuco Martina and Luke Garbutt. They have also released forward Oumar Niasse ending his four year spell with the club.

The club have also announced that defender Leighton Baines has signed a short-term deal to the end of the current premier league season. Full-back Djibril Sidibe has had his loan deal from Monaco extended until the end of the current campaign.

Under 23 players Morgan Feeney, Alex Denny, Matty Foulds, Manasse Mampala and Korede Adedoyin have all been released by the club, as well as Kieran Phillips who is currently on loan at championship side Huddersfield.

Contracts have been offered to under 23 players Nathangelo Markelo and Con Ouzounidis.

Everton release three senior players

Martina signed for the club in the summer of 2017 and went on to make 28 appearances for the club. He however failed to make an appearance in the last two season's at the club and was sent out on loan to Stoke City and Feyenoord.

Niasse signed for £13.5 million pounds from Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow in 2016. He scored nine goals during the 2017-18 season and finished as the club's second highest scorer that season behind Wayne Rooney. However he failed to make an impact in the following two season's and spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Cardiff City. 

Luke Garbutt's release ends an 11 year stay with Everton where he managed to appear 12 times for the blues. He also had loan spells at Cheltenham Town, Colchester United, Fulham, Wigan Athletic, Oxford United and Ipswich Town.
