Hosts of this Summer's widely anticipated World Cup will play the first of their two pre-tournament friendlies tonight, as the favourites take on Panama in Goiania, as the Brazilians go in search of securing some vital minutes to regain their fitness levels before entering a hostile endeavour against a Croatian side that aren't to be underestimated.

The Panamanian's will provide a stern test for Brazil, with the Central American nation only just missing out on a place in the World Cup after narrowly losing to USA before a play-off game.

Brazil's second test will come in the shape of Serbia, who will replicate the philosophy that Croatia will employ, while Brazil hope that the game against Panama will prepare them for their group fixture against Mexico.

A few changes will be made in preparation for this game against Panama, with Thiago Silva likely to be rested along with Spurs midfielder Paulinho. Dante and Ramires are the likely replacements. The Brazil boss spoke about these changes ahead of the World Cup. "For this first match we will follow what the medical department tells us. The group will be evaluated again over the weekend and then we will know who will be fit.We don't want to risk anything before the World Cup. For the second match we will likely have all 23 players available and we will be able to set up the team the way we want"

The Canarinha are likely to field, Cesar, Alves, Luiz, Silva, Marcelo in defence against Croatia, and with that strong back four in mind, it will be difficult for the likes of Dante to edge their way into the starting 11, even if he has a superb outing. In midfield, Paulinho is likely to partner Gustavo in midfield, with Fernandinho and Ramires likely to be on high alert to force them into the starting 11. Oscar will play just behind Fred, an integral part of Brazils philosophy, and I can't see either dropping out of this side. Hulk and Neymar will play on either flank, an imperative duo. Willian will look to impress his nation, to force himself past Hulk.
